The Spillville City Council held a special meeting at the Spillville City Hall at 6:00 PM. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Mayor Wermers called the meeting to order with the following councilmen present Backes, Kelsay, Taylor, and Schmitt. Absent, none.
Consent Agenda: Motion by Kelsay, second by Taylor to approve items as follows:
- Approval of minutes of previous meetings
Roll call vote: Ayes, unanimous. Nays, none. Motion Carried.
The majority of the meeting was spent working on the 2025 Budget.
The vacant council seat will be republished and reposted for appointment at the February 6, 2024 meeting.
Motion by Kelsay, second by Backes to name Driftless Multimedia, publisher of the Decorah Public Opinion, the paper of record for the City of Spillville. Roll call vote: Ayes, unanimous. Nays, none. Motion Carried.
